ABOUT
The nucleus for Dindi Ag started in 2000.

Philip and Annie James had started specialised spraying and sowing services into the Glenburn area in 2000.

October 2001 the Murrindindi Fertilisers name was registered.

Philip believed a lack of professional agronomy advice and a tailoring of services with agronomic oversight was needed to lift pasture production programs in the many grazing enterprises he was servicing.

Having spent ten years working for the Henderson Seed Group as a horticultural seed production manager, one of the areas Philip was particularly interested in was the introduction of Biological inputs as a remedy to soil health issues in pasture based systems. He believed there was an over reliance on chemical remedies without enough research into the starting point of soils and soil structure and the flow on effects to pasture yields.

A lot of science was driving both horticulture and cropping systems but the work around soil health in grass systems was not nearly as evident.

Matt Helder gained his degree as a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the Dookie Campus of Melbourne University.

Philip and Annie employed Matt in April 2005 to research products and practices that were consistent with the view of biological inputs to improve soil health and to minimize chemical inputs while still overseeing our spraying and sowing systems.

The system of trying to combine what we termed conventional practices with more sustainable practices we called fusion farming.
Matts dedication to his brief and the results he was achieving with the farming enterprises we were servicing saw a 50 percent business offer made to Matt.

April 2008 saw the registration of Murrindindi Fertilisers Pty Ltd and joint ownership between the James and Helder families.

2012 was the year the block at 40 North Street Yea was purchased to enable the business to move off farm and into the Yea township.

In 2013 Murrindindi Fertiliser Pty Ltd registered Dindi Ag as the new trading Name for the businesses anticipated moved to Yea. The building was completed and the certificate of occupancy was issued to Murrindindi Fertilisers Pty Ltd on June 24 2015.

Trading at the new premise commenced on the 1st July 2015.
